Back Story: “Bloody Mary was an outcast in school. But was very pretty. This annoyed MaryJane the most popular girl in school because Bloody Mary was prettier than her. So one day MaryJane and her friends invited Bloody Mary over for a sleepover. When she came to the house they went upstairs to MaryJane’s bedroom. MaryJane pretended to be nice and asked her if she wanted to see the view off the balcony. Bloody Mary said sure. Once on the balcony Bloody Mary started to lean over to look at the backyard. That’s when MaryJane pushed her off. Bloody Mary fell and snapped her neck on a rock.”

Ritual: “Go in the bathroom with two other people and turn out the light. Have two people spin in the back while you chant Bloody Mary OR Mary Jane 3 times.”

Result: “If you chant bloody Mary’s name three times she will appear and harm you (scratch your eyes out, cut your skin, etc.) And if you say Mary Jane’s name three time Bloody Mary will come out of the mirror and kill you”

Back Story: A long time ago there was a little girl named Mary. She must have gotten in an accident because she went into a coma. At this time doctors didn’t know what a coma was, so they thought she was dead. They buried her alive! Every night Mary’s mother thought that she heard a scream coming from Mary’s grave, but no one believed her.

Finally, one day Mary’s mother convinced them to dig up her grave. When they did, they found scratches on the top of the coffin and Mary’s fingernails were all bloody.

Ritual: Go into the bathroom. Turn out the lights. Run the water. Spin around 3 times saying “Bloody Mary.”

Result: You might get killed!!

Other Submitted Information: “There are many different things that I have heard that will happen when you say “Bloody Mary” in the mirror. The most popular one here is that you will see Mary in the mirror walking down a case of stairs. She may be holding a knife. If she is, you must turn on the lights or she’ll kill you. Also she could be holding a rose or teddy bear, and then she won’t kill you.

Mary’s “so called” grave is also here in Jackson. I have been to it. It’s out in the woods and you have to walk through a lot of trails to get there. When you finally do, you have to walk up a big hill and there is a big tombstone on top that just says Mary. There are also other  tombstones, too. Mary’s grave was removed recently because the coffins were beginning to stick out of the ground.”

Personal Note: At the time that I type this, I live in the Waterford/Clarkston area. That’s not too far away from Jackson. I wouldn’t mind seeing this ‘so called’ grave. If anyone from the Jackson area can confirm this, and/or give me some directions on where it is, I’d appreciate it. Also Chelsea or anyone from the area, If you see this thing, please take a picture of the grave next time you see it. I’d love to have a picture of it for the site!

Back Story: Years ago, a tornado hit Venice High School. As the story goes, Mary was killed in the tornado, and now has a vendetta against all the girls that use the bathroom in the school.

Ritual: Say Bloody Mary 3 times in a room with the door closed and the lights out. It has to be dark! (It may not even be necessary to chant here name. Apparently, girls are afraid to go to the restroom alone, and they see her when they’re fixing their hair and make up in the mirror. Now, they just wait until they get home to go to the bathroom.)

Result: She pops up and tries to scratch you!

Back Story: “Not sure, nobody ever mentioned anything.  Except that she was a little girl. The rumors of Bloody Mary usually speculated at the old elementary school building.”

Ritual: “Spin around the mirror three times and say “Bloody Mary”. At the end of the three times, say “i’ve got your baby”.

Result: “Girls in the bathroom have said that blood appeared on the floor.  of course, this was years ago.  They also say that she appears and tries to drag you into the mirror.”

Personal Note: I wish there was more information about this one. The elementary school angle is different, yet the “I’ve got your baby” is similar to the one from my home.

Back Story: Mary was just a young women who was getting ready to be wed. Her mother-in-law to-be didn’t like her at all. So then on their wedding day her mother-in-law brutally murdered her. She got blood all over herself and on Mary. That’s how she got her name.

Ritual: You turn off all the lights in a bathroom. Light 1 candle and put it on the counter. Chant her name 3 times as you spin around.

Result: She will appear in the mirror. If she is angry at you for summoning her she will try to break out of the mirror, and if she does, she will kill you. I’m not exactly sure how ,though. If she’s not angry, she will talk to you, or pull you in if she likes you. This way you two could talk for all eternity.
