EMF Meters and Causes of High EMF’s

~Written By Ryan Sparks~

Everyone who is a paranormal investigator knows a bit about what an EMF meter does. An EMF meter is an electronic device that has the ability to obtain  EMF readings in an area. Readings for paranormal activity are believed to range between 2.0 and 8.0. Any reading above this is usually something emitting a man-made electromagnetic field. A lot of people don’t strongly suggest EMF detectors and use dowsing rods instead. When it comes to dowsing rods, the hands can tend to manipulate the rods and I don’t have enough proof to believe in them.  But I beg to differ with the use of EMF detectors.  EMF’s are a tool to read the electromagnetic field. When it spikes into a certain reading from .5 – 2.0, you have to be aware of your surroundings because a lot of electronic devices can trigger your detector to go “nutso.” This is why it is good to do an EMF sweep in each room and document each reading you acquire.

Make sure you hold your EMF steady and note each movement of milligaus readings. Don’t get me wrong, there are some hyper sensitive EMF’s out there and trust me, I’ve been there and the detector will give you some inaccurate occurrences and you just need to know what you’re dealing with. One thing I find a problem with is cell phones which go off with the EMF detector and so does some of your equipment such as the infrared cameras and digital recorders, plus sometimes even a Mini DV will set off an EMF detector. Yet, when it comes to the paranormal and EMF’s, it’s all theoretical. Maybe someday EMF meters will actually be able to capture readings and label certain things paranormal.  You never know! The paranormal field is always changing and developing new theories. It’s one of the best things right now since sliced bread lol!

High EMF Fields and their Effects

When you get into the causes of high EMf field studies out there have been reporting, results include which include: headaches, anxiety, suicide and depression, nausea, fatigue, and even hallucinations which contain – feeling of being watched, hearing voices and even being touched physically.  A lot of people claim their house is haunted but it could be just a high EMF’s in the home. Keep in mind where you see high EMF readings on investigations which could come in handy in any conclusions you may draw from an investigation.

Quantum Paranormal 002 (The Mind Body Delima)

~Written By Don S. Wilson~

In order for me to start the ball rolling as far as regarding quantum physics and its relationship to paranormal research, I must mention that I am not trying to empress on anyone anything other than theory on my part. I feel that a good place to start this study is with the living, not the dead, for it is within us all that clues about the other side are found.

For years scientists and philosophers have been trying to understand where human consciousness resides, where long term memory is stored, and what effect our emotions have on our thought process. Until more recent years, it was thought that the consciousness or soul, along with our long term memory resided within our brain. Indeed, around the turn of the last century some experiments were conducted to find out if the soul actually had a measurable mass. Theory was that the body contained the soul and that at the time of death, the soul would leave the body, thereby producing a weight loss of the body that could be measured.

A respected surgeon of the day, a Dr. Dunkin MacDougall who happened to know of a few consumptive patents, devised the idea that if you weigh a person at the time of death you should be able to see a difference in weight at the moment the soul leaves the body. Although he claimed that there was a sudden loss of twenty-one grams at the time of death, skeptics at the time attributed the weight loss to insensible perspiration, or rapid evaporation of body fluids excremented at the time of death. Its intresting to note that many of these experiments were performed over the years with both animals as well as humans, and in the case of humans, to this day no weight loss has ben reported. However according to a report by a Lewis E. Hollander, Who performed this same experiment with goats and sheep in 2000, reported a temporary gain. So what are we to make of these conflicting results?

Enter: Quantum Physics. Most people today are familiar with the term zero point energy or zero point field. It is talked about widely on science programs about the universe and physics. But just in case you haven’t heard of it, I will explain in quick simple language. The zero point field or ZPF is basically a sea of quantum particles in a total electromagnetic state, that consists of trillions of resonant frequencies that vibrate in wave patterns randomly like the surface of an ocean. The ZPF is the source of all the energy in the universe and is where all expended energy returns.

If we understand that the brain is a physical organ and the mind/soul is a non-physical entity, it becomes fairly easy to place the soul as a resident of the ZPF. Think of the soul as a hard drive so to speak. Think of the brain as a receiver that does what the soul tells it to do by way of a spirit rope or cord we call consciousness. The brain simply keeps our bodies functioning by telling our hart to beat, it tells us when to eat and so on. Our soul stores all of our memories, and lends them to us as needed. It regulates our emotions, and allows us to put our life before someone else’s.It justifies our personalities and tells us when we need to fight for our lives. The soul also knows when its time give up the battle. The spirit rope is responsible for delivering these messages back and forth between the brain and soul. When the time comes, the soul will tell the spirit rope to disconnect from the brain and leave the physical body behind. “This is called crossing over”

It is perfectly logical to believe that both the living souls as well as the ones who have crossed over reside in the same ZPF. Next time I will discuss how this works during a paranormal event, and maybe open the door on some serious thought about why these events happen the way they do.

Quantum Paranormal

~Written By Don S. Wilson~

I have been studying the paranormal and quantum physic’s and it’s relationship to it for some time now. Although I have gone to great lengths to understand the mysteries of this gray science, it seems that even getting it recognized as a true science has been difficult at best. Today, I am happy to report that more and more people in the study of physics are beginning to recognize paranormal researchers as valid seekers of knowledge, just as themselves.

They are beginning to realize that what they expect the general science community to believe, or should I say ‘public’ is just as paranormal as physics research itself. Of course what I am referring to is Quantum Physics, the study of nature on its smallest scale. String theory or M-theory, the number one proponents as an explanation for everything, are beginning to give us real valid reasons as to how these phenomena occur. The study of paranormal events has traveled far from the Victorian day parlor tricks of the past, into a new age of technology that shows that we have real valid reasons to believe in an afterlife. We won’t just lie down for a billion year nap.

Some of us don’t need to understand how this phenomena works. some of us can just follow our intuition or faith and leave it at that. Others, along with their faith, also endeavor to understand the mechanics behind the paranormal event. To see where it comes from, read the schematics, and understand how it works. All of this, is the same as learning, becoming Godlike, and sitting on the right hand side of him, as he has expected us to do.

But paranormal research for me hasn’t been a mission through God. It has been a mission of self discovery and still is today. I am a selfish, demanding person when it comes to wanting to know the answers to things that are mysterious and hard to explain. God and I have already defined our relationship. He knows that I am one of his children, that I have an inquisitive need to know and understand, and that there are no secrets, but in the spirit of growth for us all, he will only reveal these secrets through time and effort on our part.

In the coming weeks and months I hope to present articles to you that give you thoughts that you have never had before. That make you think about your place in the universe, and help you understand that paranormal events are real and do have a place in our day to day lives. These expressions will not be religious in any context. Although I have a faith in God, I will tell you now that I have no faith in any religion what-so-ever.

You can debate me on religion if you like, but I would rather not, I don’t think that is what this forum is about. If you are reading this article today, it wouldn’t be because you are looking for a debate on religion. No my friend, You are looking for answers about the paranormal.

MonsterQuest Season 3 Review & DVD Giveaway

Sep04

Monster Quest is a great show, no doubt about it. That’s why when A&E Home Video wants me to review, and give a copy away to our readers, I jump at the chance.

For those of you that have been living in a hole or something, Monster Quest is a documentary series which airs on Wednesday nights on The History Channel at 9PM Eastern Standard Time.

On the show, each episode they pick a monster such as Bigfoot, or El Chupacabra, and they explain any scientific information that they have on the subject. They interview witnesses, question their credibility, and try to explain their claims scientifically.

This is the review for Volume 1 of Season 3 of the show.

First off, I have to admit that I REALLY don’t like how they’re doing it this time. What I’m reviewing here is the first 8 episodes of the season. That’s all that exists in this set. I suppose the plan is that later, they’re going to release the rest in Volume 2, 3 and so on. I really have no idea, as they don’t check with me first before they do this stuff. But… I’ve contacted the proper channels, and I’ve demanded to be informed of this sort of thing ahead of time from now on.

Anyway, I don’t like it. Personally, if I’m going to get a TV series on DVD, I want to have it all at once, and be done with it. I don’t wanna have to screw around with 8 episodes at a time.

Regardless, those 8 episodes WERE entertaining, interesting, and definitely worth watching. I’ll quickly break each episode down here.

1. Death Of Loch Ness:
This episode inventor, Robert Rines explains his belief that the Loch Ness Monster is actually dead. This explains why there have been so few sightings in recent years. Apparently, while mapping the floor of the lake, he discovered what he thinks is the corpse of the legendary creature.

This was a good episode. It was interesting, but unfortunately it was a bit sad. If it exists, or HAD EXISTED, I don’t want to think that it’s dead.

2. Cattle Killers:
I wasn’t feelin’ this one. For years there have been cattle and livestock mutilations all over North America. This episode speculates why this happens. Satanic cults? Aliens? Chupacabras? Barracudas?

3. Swamp Stalker:
This episode discusses the real events of The Legend Of Boggy Creek where, back in the day something came out of the swamp in Texarkana, and done a buttload of violent attacks on people. I enjoyed this episode.

4. Devils In New Jersey:Montauk Monster
This is one of the best Monster Quest episodes I’ve seen. If you’re into this sort of thing, It’s worth buying this set for this episode alone. If you haven’t already guessed, it’s about the Jersey Devil, and it features what I consider to be VERY compelling testimonies about its existence. A mother and son are ‘attacked’ one night by what they believe to be the legendary Jersey Devil. What they describe is something straight out of a horror movie. They are given lie detector tests to answer questions about the creature, and what it looked like. They pass every question. A forensic artist does a full size sculpture of the creature based on the witnesses descriptions. When they finally see the sculpture, the look on their faces tell all. GREAT episode!

5. Gators In The Sewers:
If the title to this episode leaves you confused, let me explain. It’s about alligators in the sewers. Now that I’ve cleared that up, I gotta tell ya that this episode was lacking for me. Maybe it’s because the whole thing has been played out in movies for years, or that the concept is kind of silly from my point of view. The episode DID give information to support the idea that it’s POSSIBLE for alligators to live in the sewers even farther north where it gets colder in the winter. Even so, I still find it hard to believe.

6. Snowbeast Slaughter:
In the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, there’s a big hairy thing feeding, on elk and scaring the people up there. Ya know… I am SOOO sick of Bigfoot. On the show, they’re calling it a Yeti, but it’s all the same to me, and how many episodes do we need on the same creature? All we ever get is.. well, nothing. They never capture any real evidence that this thing exists in ANY of its forms or names. I’m not saying that it doesn’t exist, but come on! Do we really need 600 thousand independent documentaries, and episodes with no new information, and to tell us that there’s no evidence yet? We get it. STOP!

7. Mega Jaws:The Meg!
As long as I can remember there have been 2 MAJOR things in my life that caught my interest. The first was obviously the paranormal, the unknown, and ‘spooky stuff’ the other was always all things underwater, or sharks to be more specific. This episode explores the idea of a 60 foot shark in the Baja Peninsula of Mexico. Now, I believe that the ocean contains the most interesting things, and holds more mysteries than almost anything on the planet. The idea that the Megalodon is still out there, swimming and eating, based on what we know of the creature is completely absurd. Based on what we know about how it fed, and how its cousin, ‘The Great White’ feeds, we WOULD have encountered it by now. If there’s a big creature along that Peninsula, I would bet against the Meg. I like this episode simply because of the subject matter. I love sharks.

8. Monster Close Encounters:
*Bangs head against wall*
Another Bigfoot episode. Yeah, this is exactly what this set needed. The earlier episode wasn’t enough, and neither was the 5 episodes in season 2(Not an exaggeration). YAY! We need more Sasquatch, sasquatch-like creatures, and sasquatch related episodes! There simply ain’t enough to go around.

Alright! Aside from Bigfoot being forced down my throat, I’d have to say that it was a pretty good set. Again, that Jersey Devil episode makes any complaint that I have null and void.

I have an extra copy of Season 3 Volume 1 sitting right here, and I’m going to give it to one of you!

Lemme think. What hoop do I want you guys to jump through this time?

Actually, that’s my biggest question. If I’m going to keep giving away free DVD’s, I need ideas for what contests to have.

So, if you want to win a copy of this DVD set, leave a comment here, or email me at BeyonderBill@yahoo.com, and give me your idea of a fun contest for me to have in the future.

I may use them all, and I may only use the good ones. The BEST idea will get a free copy of Monster Quest Season 3, Volume 1 sent to them in the mail!(Within the United States please)

A Look at Time-slips

~ Written By Gerry Dixon ~

So here is the scene, imagine walking down a familiar road, one that you have walked down many times before. You know the line of houses, familiar trees and bushes and perhaps even peculiarities such as gravel drives, iron railings and ornate doors. Then on this one particular day, you happen to take the same route and although things appear normal you, somehow you feel ‘different.’ Maybe there is a peculiar feeling to the atmosphere; it might be unusually cold or warm for the time of year. You do not hear the usual sounds of passing traffic or birds singing, there is a strange and eerie silence. Suddenly, you look around and everything appears to have changed. Houses have vanished; there may be unknown buildings and where there were streets and modern houses, now there are green fields and maybe even old cottages or farm buildings.

You suddenly catch a glimpse of people, but they are not like the people you are familiar with. Their clothes are maybe ten, twenty, thirty or even one hundred years out of date, or even more peculiar, they are wearing clothes and materials as yet, unknown. There maybe distant voices and noises, but somehow everything sounds muffled and muted and there might be a feeling of oppression and strangeness. As quickly as this phenomena happens, it vanishes and again there is the comfort of familiar sights and sounds. So what on earth has happened? Well to those who have an interest in things supernatural or paranormal, you might just have encountered a time-slip, a ‘blip’ or ‘loop’ in time, which has allowed you to either experience the past or in some cases, the future. It doesn’t happen to many people, but to those who have encountered a time-slip it is both a frightening and an amazing experience.

Nobody really understands what a time-slip is and just as there are numerous theories about time itself, so there are various time-slip hypotheses. For centuries, scientists and theorists have debated the subject of time and the great men of understanding such as Newton and Einstein both tried to explain their ideas regarding time, but as they are heavily wrapped up in physics and philosophy, it is often beyond the understanding of the man in the street. But as humans, we are physically aware of time, as seconds turn into minutes, minutes into hours and so on. Looking back on photographs taken throughout a lifetime, a person rapidly becomes a living witness to the relentless march of time. From the baby to an old person, human beings are the evidence of what time can do. Once smooth and flawless skin gives way to wrinkles and hair turns grey as the years march on regardless. Nobody can seemingly stop time; we are governed by it, so is it possible that some people can witness the past or the future without the aid of any man-made ‘time machine,’ such as the one portrayed in H.G. Wells’ science fiction book, “The Time Machine”? Or are time-slips just the figment of somebody’s very ripe imagination?

One of the most famous time-slips occurred in the summer of 1901, when Charlotte Anne Moberly and Eleanor Jourdain two English women, travelled to France in search of the Petit Trianon, a small chateau in the grounds of the Palace of Versailles. At some point during their visit, they report that they encountered a feeling of gloom and dreaminess and suddenly their surroundings changed and they believe that they met the figure of Marie Antoinette who was sitting in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. They also encountered people who were dressed according to the 1700’s, including servants and commoners. Nobody could prove or disprove their account and as they were very distinguished scholars themselves, it is highly unlikely that they fabricated their story purposely, but maybe they became confused or as has been suggested, they encountered French nobility or high society and this would account for the elaborate dress. These are all feasible possibilities, but nobody can account for the changes to the landscape, which the two women remarked upon.

A more recent time-slip, made famous by a television programme on the supernatural called “Strange but True”, (video can be accessed on YouTube), retells the story of two British couples driving through France on their way to a holiday in Spain, who stop off at a very old fashioned and quaint rural hotel. On their way back from their holiday, the couples decided to revisit the hotel, but to their amazement, there is no earthly sign of it, it had completely disappeared. Both couples testified that they were puzzled by many irregularities that occurred on their first visit.

Another remarkable time-slip was experienced by Alice Pollock, who visited Leeds Castle in Kent, UK. Alice experimented by touching objects in a room to try and recreate or experience events from another time period. For a while, nothing happened but then suddenly, the room changed, becoming cold and bare and a small log fire burned in the fireplace. Alice noticed a woman dressed in a white dress, walking up and down the room and the woman appeared to be deep in thought. Then as quick as it happened, the room returned to its original state. Later it was discovered that Queen Joan of Navarre, stepmother to Henry V, was imprisoned in the castle’s rooms as she had been accused of witchcraft.

So, was Alice Pollock’s mind recreating past history or did she actually encounter a loop in time caused by her intense desire to recreate the past? Are human beings able to manipulate time through objects, by touching them and absorbing their past energy? Dr. Joseph Rodes-Buchanan, of the Covington Medical Institute, was convinced that objects carried their history photographed in them and he wrote, ‘the past is entombed in the present.’

The art of touching objects and having a psychic link with them is called ‘psychometry’ and many believe that ‘standing stones’ such as Stonehenge, are in some way endued with psychic power and are able to connect us to the past and the present simply by touching them. Can this act of psychometry allow us to form a link or bridge between past and present?

Maybe time is like the sea, ebbing and flowing, never quite still and always restless. Perhaps every now and then when a small eddy appears in the sea of time it allows humans to be caught up in a gentle whirlpool, where both past and present become one…Nobody can quite give us a plausible answer and nobody probably ever will. But for those who encounter a time-slip, it will always be a mysterious encounter, never quite understood and never quite proven to be true or otherwise, but nevertheless, an encounter that will always be remembered.
